Let me start by saying the August wedding at the Fairgrounds was hot . . . . the temperature was toasty, by the designs we brought to life, were pure boho dreams. Every detail Carly had us bring to life was, (as the kids say it — man, I sound old . . . ) was fire!
The wedding day started off getting the reception space set inside the beautiful Conservatory. If you’re looking for a spot that’s rustic, yet elegant, and enough natural light to make your heart swoon, this spot is it.
The aesthetic that we went for was boho-chic. We had two different designs for the space. One was more flower-focused and the other was more greenery focused.
For the first design, we brought in natural and whitewashed ceramic vases to design the loveliest of compotes. The colors in the design were vibrant. The texture and floral selection we got to play with was unreal. Can you spot the Ornamental Kale tucked in?! These arrangements were accompanied by succulents and candles.
The second design was a stunning garland filled with all the texture, pampas grass, and pheasant feathers we could hope for! It gave the piece such interest and really complimented the votives we selected to compliment the other table.
If all the guest tables details weren’t already making your heart melt, we created over twenty-feet of garland for their head table. It was a major photo moment. In the center of the head table where Carly and Brian sat, we re-used their copper arch from the ceremony to create a backdrop for pictures.
Speaking of ceremony, Carly and Brian’s ceremony was a show-stopper, but not in the glitz and glam kind of way. It was chic, it was rustic, it felt organic, and mostly, it fit the space. It screamed summer time!
We used the copper arch as the backdrop for their ceremony and added gorgeous Macrame pieces that Carly found. We wove in a custom wooden hoop piece that was adorned with flowers and greenery to tie it all in. If you look closely, there’s another floral piece that we snuck in the background for more depth and dimension from every angle.
Carly brought in the rugs that lined the aisle and we added the Pampas Grass pieces to the chairs. It added so much interest and pulled all the elements of the night in perfectly.
Carly and Brian’s summertime wedding at The Conservatory at Sussex Fairground were nothing short of stunning. Oh, and I can’t forget about the custom hairpiece we created for her! It was equally a showstopper and was just the right touch to complete her look.
