Spring Wedding at Stone House at Stirling Ridge | Katelyn & William

Katelyn and William’s wedding at the Lodge at the Stone House Inn in Warren, NJ was our first “full-sized” wedding of 2021. Actually, it felt like our first big wedding in ages, after COVID left the wedding industry navigating the constant shuffle of guest counts, regulations, mandates and reschedules. So to say that we were PUMPED to finally get to celebrate this couple’s March wedding day, exactly one year from when it was originally planned would be an understatement. These two were the kindest people and we were so ready to bring their dreams to life!

Katelyn and William met on the train where their paths crossed during their daily commute (no pun intended – promise!). Katelyn was going to school in New York City and Will worked in Jersey City! Fast forward a few years, to how Kate recalls their proposal . . . this is how she said it all went down, “Will proposed on a hike at 7 am! I was supposed to attend a baby shower that day so I was very upset that I would be late because of this surprise hike. We celebrated that evening with a dinner out with both of our families.”

Although we had originally planned for a beautiful March 2020 wedding, I can’t help but admit their March 2021 date (exactly one year later), was filled with so many extra special details. For instance, Kate’s sister who is also her Maid of Honor was there officiating her vow renewal. The couple also created personal details like the card box and seating chart for their special day.

The best advice that the couple shared for those navigating wedding planning would be, “Have fun and do what you want! After 2020 there are no longer rules to follow for your wedding! It’s YOUR day!”
