Hey, friends! Katherine here, to tell you more about my bridal shower that took place at The Farm and Bakery in Quakertown, PA. My mom and sister hosted such a beautiful day back in March 2021 and I’m so happy to finally be able to share the details with you.
First off, The Farm & Bakery was a dream to work with. We had designed at The Farm and Bakery many times, and it was a space me and my mom and sister loved. Their Harvest barn, in particular, was the perfect rustic-chic space for the shower. The Farm and Bakery were also one of the few “COVID Compliant” venues that the state deemed safe for gatherings due to all of their features and amenities. With ever-changing mandates, we’re so happy we went with a venue that was flexible, accommodating, and made it an amazing experience, despite the challenges we all faced last spring. Due to mandates, we did end up moving the shower into the main barn instead of the Harvest Barn to allow for proper social distancing; but the main barn made for such a wonderful space to gather!
Let’s get down to the details of the day!
Guests were welcomed into the barn with an antique welcome sign to fit the rustic charm of the space. In the middle of the barn, we created a photo moment, featuring our greenery backdrop and neon sign. The Farm and Bakery added their couch perfect for pictures.
My mom and sister selected a wonderful brunch menu for the day. It was a lovely mix of The Farm and Bakery’s famous baked goodies, as well as delicious parfaits, salads, and more. Each item was perfectly displayed so guests could easily fill their plates with as much as they pleased. They also had a mimosa bar which was perfect for guests to have their favorite variation of the drink. My favorite detail that my mom selected was the naked cake topped with doughnuts. It was so delicious!
For centerpieces, we went with two different designs. The first design was simple bud vases that lined the table. The other design was a clear compote vase filled with moss and then filled with flowers. For favors, each guest got to bring home a custom-monogrammed towel for their kitchen. They also got a chance at making their own flower bouquet with our flower stand.
For activities, my sister designed an interactive online game for guests to play. The winner received a gift box filled with goodies. We used a beautiful blue velvet chair for me to sit in and unwrap gifts from Cedar & Sage Rentals.
It was truly such a special day, that I’m so thankful for! My mom and sister did a wonderful job of planning every detail to perfection. It was also so special because it was the first time we had seen so many family and friends. It kicked off the final countdown for the wedding, where we got to celebrate with our closest family and friends!
