Summer Wedding at Orchard View Lavender Farm | Vivian & Simon

We just can’t get enough of Vivian and Simon’s summer wedding at Orchard View Lavender Farm in Port Murray, New Jersey. After postponing three different times, the couple was finally able to wed in July 2022.

The Couple

Simon and Vivian met in high school and have been inseparable ever since. The couple had gone to the same college and even work together. Simon and Vivian share a mutual love of traveling and have been to 20 countries and counting.

During a trip to Singapore in February 2018, on their 10-year anniversary, Simon proposed to Vivian. After the proposal, Simon surprised Vivian with the most magical culinary experience located in a private garden filled from floor to ceiling with orchid flowers in full bloom.

Originally, the couple had set a date for September 2020 to get married in Madeira, Portugal in hopes of treating our closest friends and family to the wedding/vacation of a lifetime. After purchasing my dress, and putting a deposit down on the hotel/venue and photographer, their plans halted. After a total of three postponements, the couple revisited their wedding plans and they discovered the most serene and romantic lavender field in New Jersey.

The Wedding

Vivian and Simon chose the most perfect, quaint venue that was a blast for our team to design. Their ceremony took place at the lavender farm and had the most perfect arch for us to decorate. We created an arrangement that went down the sides of the arch, adding pops of purple throughout.

The reception took place on a gorgeous pavilion near the lavender fields. The centerpieces were lavender plants with small flower arrangements. Check out the couple’s sweetheart table garland—the lush arrangement of flowers created the perfect romantic ambiance. We were also able to reuse the ceremony aisle arrangements as pieces at the bottom of their table.

The couple rented so many fun pieces of furniture for us to decorate—our favorite was the rustic dresser that the cake sat upon. A gorgeous arrangement of greenery and purple and white flowers sat in one of the open drawers completing its rustic look. The details on the wedding cake left us swooning.
