Samantha and Anthony were married on the perfect April day at The Rock Island Lake Club. Their stunning spring wedding was filled with so much love and we were so happy to be included in their special day.
Samantha and Anthony met while they were both working at a school for children with special needs. Anthony popped the question by playing a game called “What’s in the Box”, where you feel around inside a box without seeing and then take a guess what the item is. Well, in the second box, was an engagement ring!
I loved getting to know the couple and when I asked Samantha what she was most excited about, she said “seeing the vision we’ve had for the last year come to life!”
Samantha and her bridesmaids started their getting ready in the bridal suite at The Rock Island Lake Club. One of the sweetest parts of the day was that Samantha included her late grandmother’s pearl necklace into her wedding day look. She incorporated the rest of her jewelry around this necklace, ensuring a piece of her grandmother was there with her that day.
Samantha’s bridesmaids wore strapless, sweetheart dresses in dusty blue, perfect for a spring wedding! Anthony and the groomsmen wore classic, black tuxes and we helped create boutonnieres that complimented their look.
The couple’s lakefront ceremony took place under a gorgeous wooden arch. We were so excited to make Samantha’s vision of a lush flower arrangement adorning the arch a dream come true. The arrangements throughout the day had the perfect spring color palette—pink, ivory and coral flowers.
In addition to the ceremony arch, we also worked with the couple to create an arrangement of greenery and a rose to decorate the chairs down the aisle. One of our favorite pieces we designed for the day was Samantha’s bridal bouquet which complimented her look and tied it all together.
The couple put so much care and thought into every detail of their ceremony. It was so beautiful and you could just feel all the love that surround Samantha and Anthony.
When it comes to the details, Anthony and Samantha thought of everything! Every detail came together to create the most romantic ambiance. We worked with the couple to add to the unique space that Rock Island Lake Club has to offer.
One of our favorite recent trends is the champagne walls—they add to the guest experience and get the party started right!
The long, wooden farm tables at Rock Island make a lush greenery garland and candles the perfect centerpieces for the reception—giving the space the most romantic feel. We are obsessed with how the cake flowers turned out on the beautiful creation from Palermos Bakery.
Samantha shared this piece of advice for future brides, “Enjoy every minute and make sure you BOTH get what you want. If your fiancé really wants something try to get it for them. Don’t let the groom get forgotten about in the process.”
Samantha and Anthony, we are so happy we were able to be a part of your special day! We wish you the best of luck and many years of happiness!
