Elegant White Florals, Soft Sage Details & A Celebration Nearly Ten Years in the Making
Some love stories begin with grand gestures, while others begin with a simple conversation.
For Karli and Nick, it started during their freshman year at Quinnipiac University. Living in the same residence hall, they happened to cross paths one day in the hallway. What began as an introduction quickly turned into hours of conversation while sitting on the floor outside their dorm rooms. From that moment on, they were inseparable.
Nearly ten years later, that conversation led them to one of New Jersey’s most beautiful wedding venues—The Reserve at Perona Farms—where they celebrated the beginning of their next chapter surrounded by the family and friends who had supported them every step of the way.

Throughout their relationship, Karli and Nick spent years traveling back and forth between Rockland County and Westchester County, crossing the Tappan Zee Bridge countless times to see one another.
When it came time to propose, Nick chose a location overlooking the Hudson River in Irvington, New York, with the bridge visible in the distance—a meaningful reminder of the many miles they had traveled together before arriving at this moment.
It was the perfect setting for a proposal that reflected the foundation of their relationship: commitment, patience, and choosing one another every single day.

On a beautiful day in May 2025, Karli and Nick exchanged vows at The Reserve at Perona Farms, one of New Jersey’s premier wedding venues known for its timeless architecture, expansive windows, and picturesque grounds.
The couple intentionally kept many aspects of their wedding simple, allowing the focus to remain where it mattered most—celebrating their marriage with the people they love.
That thoughtful approach created an atmosphere that felt warm, elegant, and deeply personal.

One of the most touching elements of the day was the couple’s tribute to the marriages that came before them.
During cocktail hour, guests were invited to view wedding photographs of Karli and Nick’s parents and grandparents. The display served as a beautiful reminder that every marriage becomes part of a larger family story and that lasting love inspires future generations.
It was a heartfelt detail that reflected the values at the center of their celebration: family, legacy, and enduring commitment.

For their floral design, the vision centered around timeless elegance with a soft spring palette.
Classic white blooms paired beautifully with lush greenery, creating arrangements that enhanced the natural beauty of The Reserve without overpowering its stunning architecture. Soft sage bridesmaid dresses added a fresh seasonal touch, perfectly complementing the floral palette and creating a cohesive look throughout the day.
Every bouquet, ceremony arrangement, and reception centerpiece was thoughtfully designed to feel romantic, refined, and effortlessly timeless—allowing the beauty of the venue and the joy of the celebration to take center stage.
At Thistle Bee Florist, we believe flowers should elevate a space while reflecting each couple’s unique story, and Karli and Nick’s wedding beautifully embodied that philosophy.

When asked what they were most excited about, both Karli and Nick shared the same answer.
After nearly a decade together, they couldn’t wait for the moment when the ceremony doors opened and they would finally see one another waiting at the end of the aisle.
Sometimes, the simplest moments become the most unforgettable.
After ten years of growing together, supporting one another, and dreaming about this day, that first glance marked the beginning of a new chapter as husband and wife.

Karli and Nick shared advice that every engaged couple can appreciate:
“Make sure to discuss your wants and needs together before involving family or reaching out to vendors. Being on the same page as a couple helps you stay true to your vision and makes the planning process so much more enjoyable.”
It’s thoughtful advice that perfectly reflects the way they approached their own wedding—with intention, communication, and a focus on what mattered most.
