Classic Romance, Rustic-Chic Details & A Beautiful Ceremony in the Newly Renovated Stables
A Love Story That Began in College
Some love stories begin with a grand gesture. Krystal and Austin’s began with a little courage, a cute guy at a bar, and a shared college class.
Krystal took the initiative to introduce herself to Austin, and thankfully, he was just as kind as he was handsome. After discovering they had a class together, Austin invited her to sit beside him. From that moment on, the rest was history.
Years later, their story brought them to Bear Brook Valley in New Jersey, where they celebrated their marriage in November surrounded by the friends and family who had been part of their journey.

A Central Park Proposal at Belvedere Castle
Living in New York City, Krystal and Austin love spending beautiful days strolling through Central Park. It was only fitting that Austin chose one of their favorite places to ask Krystal to marry him.
He secretly arranged for Krystal’s best friend, who was also the photographer for the proposal, to hide near Belvedere Castle. As they enjoyed their walk through the park, Austin got down on one knee, capturing a moment that was both personal and meaningful.
With her best friend ready to photograph the surprise, Krystal was left with beautiful memories of a proposal that reflected their relationship and the city they call home.

A Romantic November Wedding at Bear Brook Valley
For their November wedding, Krystal and Austin envisioned a celebration that felt classic, traditional, and romantic. Bear Brook Valley provided the perfect setting, combining natural beauty with thoughtfully designed spaces that made their wedding feel timeless.
One of the standout features of their day was the newly renovated stables, where the couple exchanged vows. With fresh white walls and a balance of rustic character and chic simplicity, the space offered a beautiful backdrop for their ceremony.
The updated interior created a clean, bright setting that felt both modern and inviting while preserving the charm of the stables. It was the perfect match for a couple who wanted a wedding that felt elegant without being overly formal.

A Ceremony in the Newly Renovated Stables
The stables at Bear Brook Valley bring a distinctive character to a wedding ceremony. The newly redone white walls brighten the space, creating a beautiful contrast with its rustic details and giving couples a versatile backdrop for classic or romantic wedding design.
For Krystal and Austin, the setting complemented their timeless vision while keeping the focus on the moment they had been looking forward to most: celebrating their love with family and friends.
The combination of rustic architecture and a crisp white interior makes the stables especially appealing for couples who love a rustic-chic aesthetic but prefer a fresh, refined look over a traditional barn setting.

Thoughtful DIY Details & A Celebration Full of Meaning
Krystal brought a personal touch to the wedding by creating many of the details herself, including the menus, programs, welcome signs, and other signage throughout the celebration.
These handmade elements helped make the day feel uniquely theirs and allowed them to shape the overall look of their wedding with care and intention.
One of the most significant details was their memory table, which honored loved ones who could not be physically present on the wedding day. By displaying photographs of those who would always hold a special place in their hearts, Krystal and Austin found a meaningful way to include their memories in the celebration.
It was a heartfelt tribute and a beautiful reminder that weddings bring together not only the people standing beside us today, but also the people whose love and influence continue to shape our lives.

A Wedding Focused on What Matters Most
When asked what they were most excited about, Krystal and Austin shared that they couldn’t wait to celebrate with friends and family.
Bringing together people from different parts of their lives was one of the most meaningful aspects of the day. Their wedding was an opportunity to reconnect, make new memories, and celebrate the relationship that had begun years earlier in a college bar.
Their approach to planning reflected that same intentionality. They gave themselves time to explore ideas, change their minds, and arrive at a finished vision that felt right for them.

Advice for Couples Planning Their Wedding
Krystal and Austin encourage future couples to take their time, focus on what they truly want, and avoid rushing decisions about décor or the guest list.
Their own vision evolved throughout the planning process, and giving themselves flexibility helped them create a celebration that reflected who they were as a couple.
They also recommend making wedding planning part of your routine and finding ways to make it fun rather than treating it as a never-ending to-do list.
After all, planning a wedding is a special season of life. It deserves to be enjoyed.
