Spring Wedding at The Refinery | Michelle & Marissa

We are excited to share Michelle and Marissa’s picture-perfect wedding day at The Refinery at Perona Farms. The lovely pair exchanged vows in Andover, New Jersey on an idyllic spring day.

Perona Farms features three gorgeous reception venues, each with its unique style. Kristen and Victoria chose The Refinery, an industrial-chic space with exposed brick, steel, and concrete finishings.

The Couple

Marissa and Michelle met freshman year of college through a mutual friend. They started as friends, but became closer as time went on. They started dating sophomore year and have been together ever since!

Marissa proposed to Michelle in March of 2022. She took Michelle to their favorite spot in Hoboken, overlooking the city skyline and popped the question.

Getting Ready

Both brides spent the morning getting ready at Perona Farms surrounded by their closest friends and family.

Michelle looked stunning in her gorgeous wedding gown with a gorgeous bow on the back of the dress. We worked with her to create the bouquet of her dreams with anemones, ranunculus and greenery.

Now let’s hear it for Marissa’s look! She looked amazing in a stunning, off-the-shoulder gown. We tied together the look with a similar bouquet to Michelle’s.

Their bridal party coordinated in shades of blue, the perfect color palette for a spring wedding! 

The First Look

The gorgeous grounds at Perona Farms are perfect for an unforgettable first look. It’s impossible to look at Marissa and Michelle’s first look photos without getting teary-eyed!

After the first look, the couple took some portraits together on the beautiful grounds of Perona Farms.

The Ceremony

The Refinery features a stunning courtyard that serves as the most romantic space for a wedding ceremony. The gorgeous greenery wall made for the perfect backdrop for Marissa and Michelle’s vows. The brides added flowers to the greenery wall and rose petals lined the aisle to tie together the look of the ceremony.

The Reception

It’s moments like these that remind us why we love what we do—witnessing couples infuse their special day with unique twists that reflect their personalities. Michelle and Marissa’s wedding was an absolute masterpiece, meticulously planned down to the finest detail.

We worked with the couple to create a mixture of tall and short centerpieces for the reception, adding to the visually pleasing space. Tall centerpieces adorned with lush blooms added height and grandeur to the tables, creating an elegant and sophisticated ambiance.

The Refinery has so many creative spaces to decorate! We’ve been loving the trend of floral chandeliers—we were able to decorate the one in the center of the dance floor that gave the room such a garden-chic feel.
