Summer Wedding at Rock Island Lake Club | Becca & Chris
Rock Island Lake Club’s charming, lakefront property was the perfect venue for Becca and Chris’s wedding day. The couple was married in Sparta, New Jersey on a sunny summer day—there wasn’t a cloud in the sky!
Getting Ready
Becca and her bridesmaids spent the morning with her bridesmaids celebrating in the private on-site bridal suite. The team at Verve Hair and Makeup helped create a flawless wedding look for the bride and her bridesmaids. The bridesmaids wore dresses in gorgeous shades of blue—the perfect summer look!
We worked with Becca to create her dream wedding bouquet to perfectly complement her stunning wedding gown. The cascading arrangement featured a variety of blues, whites, creams, and greenery.
We love when our Thistle Bee Brides put a fun twist on their wedding day look. Nikki had custom Nikes made and we are obsessed with them!
Chris and the groomsmen spent the morning prepping in their own groomsmen suite. The men rocked blue tuxes with light blue ties to match the bridesmaids. To tie together his look, Chris wore socks with the couple’s furry friend on them!
The First Look
The grounds at The Rock Island Lake Club make the perfect location for a magical first look. Chris was so excited to see Becca, and once the moment finally came, she left him speechless!
After their first look, the couple had time to take portraits and pictures with their bridal party before the ceremony.
The Ceremony
What’s more romantic than a lakefront wedding ceremony? The couple said their vows in from of the lake in front of their closest family and friends. We loved creating the gorgeous arrangement for their ceremony arch, creating an organic and romantic ambiance for the ceremony.
The Reception
When it comes to the details, Becca and Chris thought of everything! Every detail came together to create the most romantic ambiance. We worked with the couple to add to the unique space that Rock Island Lake Club has to offer.
When your furry friend can’t be there, you can have them there in spirit (literally). A fun way to include your pets in the day is by naming your signature cocktails after them!
One of our favorite personal touches was how Becca incorporated her students into her wedding day—each reception table had wedding advice from one of her students!

Every wedding should end like Chris & Becca’s—with McDonald’s! At the end of their reception, the couple treated their guests to a late-night snack of burgers and fries. Making it the perfect ending to the perfect day.
