Some wedding designs never go out of style.
Marta and Thomas’ May wedding at The Refinery at Perona Farms embraced everything we love about timeless wedding design—classic white florals, lush greenery, warm candlelight, and thoughtful details that allowed both the venue and the flowers to shine.
Set against The Refinery’s exposed brick, steel windows, and signature living wall, every floral installation was intentionally designed to complement the architecture rather than compete with it. The result was an elegant celebration that felt effortlessly romantic while remaining clean, modern, and inviting.

The vision for Marta and Thomas’ wedding centered around an all-white floral palette accented with fresh greenery.
White roses became the focal flower throughout the day, creating a luxurious yet understated aesthetic. Soft baby’s breath added texture and movement, while hydrangeas and seasonal blooms brought fullness to every arrangement.
The monochromatic color palette created a timeless look that will feel just as beautiful decades from now as it did on their wedding day.
One of our favorite aspects of designing weddings at The Refinery is allowing the venue’s industrial architecture and abundant natural light to become part of the overall design. White florals naturally brighten the space while creating beautiful contrast against the warm brick walls and black window frames.

The ceremony took place in front of The Refinery’s iconic living wall—one of the most recognizable ceremony locations in New Jersey.
Rather than covering the natural greenery, the floral design enhanced it.
A lush floral meadow filled with white roses, hydrangeas, baby’s breath, and layered greenery lined the front of the ceremony space, creating a soft transition between guests and the couple as they exchanged vows.
The design felt organic and romantic while preserving the dramatic beauty of the venue itself.

Inside the reception, the floral design continued with elevated centerpieces overflowing with white blooms and textured greenery.
Tall arrangements created beautiful height throughout the room while maintaining open sightlines for guests.
Surrounded by floating candles, pillar candles, and soft romantic lighting, each table felt intimate while still making a statement.
The sweetheart table became another highlight of the evening, framed by an abundant floral meadow overflowing with roses, hydrangeas, baby’s breath, and fresh greenery. The installation tied together the ceremony and reception design, creating a cohesive floral story from beginning to end.

Marta carried a classic bouquet composed primarily of white garden-style roses.
The bouquet perfectly reflected the overall aesthetic of the day—simple, elegant, and timeless.
Without unnecessary embellishments, the flowers became a natural extension of her bridal look, allowing both her gown and bouquet to complement one another beautifully.
Classic wedding flowers remain popular for a reason. Their beauty speaks for itself.

As a New Jersey wedding florist, The Refinery at Perona Farms continues to be one of our favorite venues to design.
Its industrial architecture, soaring ceilings, exposed brick, and iconic living wall provide an incredible backdrop for timeless floral designs.
Whether couples envision modern minimalism or abundant romantic florals, the venue offers endless possibilities while allowing every wedding to feel unique.
For Marta and Thomas, their floral vision centered around classic elegance—proving that sometimes the most beautiful designs come from keeping things simple.
